The national airlines of Moldova are Air Moldova and Air Moldova International. There are no direct routes from the UK to Chisinau – the closest direct flights offered are from Berlin and Paris. An optional route is a flight via Moscow then on to Chisinau – this journey from London takes around seven hours. Other operators offering services to Moldova include Moldovian Airlines, Tarom, Transaero and Tyrolean Airlines. Chisinau’s international airport offers a regular bus service into the city and taxis are available. The usual amenities are on hand including duty free, a post office and a bank.
