There are a number of border crossing points that can be accessed by car, though routes passing through the breakaway region of Transdniestr from Ukraine should be avoided. All other open border crossings are perfectly fine, however. Coach services run from cities in Romania to Chisinau. An International Driving Permit is required documentation.
